Taronga Zoo Dubbo is seeking an experienced and motivated Wildlife Conservation HR Lead to play a pivotal role in planning and supporting our unique workforce at the zoo.

This is a new position at the zoo; we're looking for a senior leader who enjoys the buzz of an in-demand operational team, has a passion for wildlife conservation, and is excited by the thought of working for a world-class conservation organisation.

We are based at Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Wiradjuri Country, and offer ongoing, full-time employment with the possibility of considering 4-day part-time work arrangements. Our salary package includes a base annual salary ranging from $110,266 to $122,058, plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loading under the TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Clerk Grade 7/8.

The successful candidate will be expected to support our operational team, provide guidance on human resources matters, and contribute to developing our organisational culture. As a Wildlife Conservation HR Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting our operational team to ensure that our workplace remains safe, inclusive, and respectful;
  • Providing guidance on human resources matters, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations;
  • Contributing to the development of our organisational culture, ensuring it aligns with our values and vision;
  • Collaborating with other departments to achieve our organisational goals;
