Community Engagement and Event Coordinator Role

The Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity Hub is seeking a skilled professional to play a pivotal role in activating the community through diverse events and stakeholder engagement.

About the Job
  • Implement a comprehensive Communications and Engagement Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of AFSE's strategy, promoting events to stakeholders and community members.
  • Coordinate Hub Engagement: Serve as the key point of contact for space management, bookings, and user support within the AFSE Hub.
  • Organise Meaningful Events: Collaborate with Fellows and University stakeholders to develop events showcasing Fellows' work and program impact.
  • Support Indigenous Initiatives: Engage in events celebrating Indigenous communities and contribute to advancing targets set in the Murmuk Djerring Indigenous Strategy.
About You
  • Culturally aware professional with strong event coordination skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for fostering meaningful connections within diverse communities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and lived experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Māori and/or Pacific Island communities and cultures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content creation and strategy implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
