Your Opportunity

The HammondCare Events team is responsible for organizing over 40 events annually, ranging from the International Dementia Conference to industry conferences and internal events. As our Event Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end event management, supporting the Events Manager and Head of Events to achieve key strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute event logistics, including venue, AV, staff, catering, and resources.
  • Create and maintain event registration sites, providing reports and analysis.
  • Participate in meetings, taking actions for allocated events.
  • Liaise with internal IT and external AV companies to ensure requirements are met.
  • Prepare event briefs and coordinate virtual events through Teams or Zoom.
  • Coordinate logistics for external conferences and events HammondCare attends.
  • Work to timelines and facilitate reporting to ensure event KPIs are met.
  • Maintain event collateral and assets.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Events, Events Manager, and broader HammondCare teams in event planning, advertising, and promotions.
  • Support conference-related activities under the guidance of the Head of Events.
  • Develop and coordinate event calendars and tasks.
  • Perform event administration tasks, including shared email management, phone inquiries, and invoice processing.
Requirements
  • Commitment to HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation, and Mission in Action.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an events role, preferably with client-side event management experience.
  • Highly developed communication and rapport-building skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Dynamic personality with a can-do attitude.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite and Zoom.
  • Experience with Events Air is a must.
  • Flexibility to travel and attend events outside of standard business hours, including weekends and interstate travel.
  • Current Australian driver's license.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
