About the Role:

The Clinical Perfusionist Manager will lead the Perfusion Services team within the Operating Suite at Austin Health. This team provides a service to the Cardiac Surgery & Liver Transplantation Units and other surgical units as required.

The successful candidate will be an accredited Clinical Perfusionist with strong leadership skills, including communication, change management, adaptability, critical clinical thinking, and understanding of elements of high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of perfusion services to cardiac surgery and other disciplines as required.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in conjunction with Cardiac Surgery, Dept. of Anaesthesia and ICU, to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans in conjunction with the Cardiac Surgery multidisciplinary team.
