Lead the Future of Melbourne's Iconic Public Space

This senior leadership role shapes the future of one of Melbourne's most high-profile public spaces with impact and vision. Overseeing operations, assets, and the annual capital works program at this landmark, you'll drive strategy, manage property and tenancies, and ensure the precinct delivers outstanding cultural, commercial, and community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations to maintain a safe and sustainable environment for visitors, tenants, and staff.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize property management, asset utilization, and tenancy agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including cultural institutions, hospitality partners, tenants, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS), building, and environmental codes to ensure seamless operation of the precinct.
Leadership Qualities
  • Proven track record in senior leadership roles within precinct or asset management, with expertise in operational excellence, property management, and capital works delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and negotiation skills, underpinned by strategic thinking and delivery performance.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior leadership positions, preferably in operations, property, or asset management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, project, or facilities management are highly regarded; postgraduate studies a plus.
  • Excellent commercial and financial skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
