Job Title: Director of Public Space Operations and Management
">This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the management of Melbourne's iconic public space, shaping its future and delivering outstanding cultural, commercial, and community outcomes. The successful candidate will oversee operations, assets, and the annual capital works program at Fed Square, driving strategy, managing property and tenancies, and ensuring the precinct delivers exceptional experiences for visitors.
">About the Role:
">- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Fed Square, including property management, contract oversight, asset and facilities management, and delivery of the annual capital works program.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the precinct's performance, enhancing its cultural, commercial, and community value.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including cultural institutions, hospitality partners, tenants, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure seamless operations and delivery of events.
- Maintain a strong understanding of compliance obligations (OHS, Building and Environmental codes) to ensure the safe and sustainable operation of the public space.
Requirements:
">- Proven senior leadership experience in precinct or asset management, with expertise in operations, property, or facilities management.
- Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and high-level negotiation, backed by strategic thinking and a proven track record in delivery.
- 5+ years at senior leadership level, with tertiary qualifications in business, project, or facilities management highly regarded.
- Strong commercial and financial skills essential.
