Business Development Leader

As a seasoned professional in sales and business development, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the QLD coal region.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement business development strategies that yield tangible results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers through proactive engagement and effective communication.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to ensure alignment with company objectives and successful achievement of sales and profitability targets.
  • Actively promote products by conducting technical presentations and demonstrations highlighting their value proposition and applications.
  • Conduct regular customer site visits, including underground audits and pull testing, to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for product and service enhancement.
  • Prepare detailed reports analysing business performance, identifying market trends, and recommending corrective actions to support continuous business growth.
  • Negotiate sales and service contracts, manage working capital effectively, and maintain high levels of customer service consistent with agreed service levels.

This role requires proven experience in underground mining, with specific expertise in coal mining being highly advantageous. You should have demonstrated understanding of ground support materials, practices, and application engineering, as well as strong business development and customer account management capabilities with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
