At our organization, we provide essential security services across Queensland. Our convergence security approach includes Cash In Transit (CIT) and Protective Security Services: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, and Security Governance.

We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee security operations and drive profitable growth in Mackay and Rockhampton regions.

This role is ideal for a results-driven leader who excels in both operational efficiency and business expansion.

The Role:

As the Security Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing security operations, performing some CIT services during weekday shifts, and spearheading business development efforts to expand the client base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations, including performing Cash In Transit (CIT) services and ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure the security of personnel, clients, and assets.
• Optimize operational efficiency by managing costs while maintaining service quality across both locations.
• Supervise a small team of security officers, providing hands-on leadership to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Identify and capitalize on business opportunities within the region to expand the client base and increase market share.
• Foster relationships with existing clients and explore opportunities to cross-sell additional Protective Security solutions.
• Conduct market research to identify potential clients and service gaps, aligning business development strategies with regional market demands.
• Actively participate in tenders and proposals, particularly targeting large contracts.
• Lead, mentor, and support security staff, ensuring high performance and operational consistency.
• Collaborate with the head office to ensure accurate operational and financial reporting.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Provide strategic leadership, implementing continuous improvement processes to enhance service delivery across the regions.
