Job Description

This role is focused on delivering financial insights and analysis to support business growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing financial reporting and analysis to stakeholders
  • Identifying trends and areas for improvement in sales, inventory, and costing
  • Preparing dashboards and presentations to facilitate decision-making

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting with finance related tasks including reporting and analysis
  • Using data analysis techniques to analyse costing, inventory, sales and adhoc KPI to support business decisions
  • Providing commentary on variances to budgets and forecasts including identifying trends and performance of key metrics
  • Successfully communicating and coordinating information from customers and stakeholders to facilitate accurate task completion including preparing power-point presentations and dashboards
  • Responsible for product pricing including pricing arrangements with customers
  • Generating adhoc pricing requests based on customer requirements and company's pricing strategies
  • Proactively anticipating and prioritising requests to ensure timelines are met
  • Presenting and seeking approval of completed tasks prior to external communications
  • Assisting with various finance duties, including month end, debtor's follow-up, detailed analysis, and journal posting and GL accuracy for month end reporting
  • Assisting with business case development, financial modelling, and analysis
  • Invoicing matching governance and integration with new systems
  • Assisting with customer orders generation and fulfilment

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Commercially minded accounting experience with strong analytical skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant areas of Finance, Accounting, Economics
  • A minimum of 3 years' previous experience in a similar role will be highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sound business and relevant industry knowledge
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to participate in group projects, contributing to different areas when required for a project or group of stakeholders
  • ERP (JDE and QAD) database systems experience will be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence and dashboard tools will be advantageous
