A well-established, Queensland-based organisation in the education sector is embarking on a significant enterprise-wide transformation. As part of this journey, they are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to lead a small team of analysts and drive strategic financial planning, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement across the business.

About the Role
Reporting to Head of Finance, this role plays a critical part in both the day-to-day financial operations and longer-term strategic initiatives. It offers the opportunity to influence financial outcomes, deliver performance improvements, and support a broader digital and cultural transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial performance cycles including budgeting, forecasting, and quarterly reporting with a focus on risk mitigation and opportunity identification.
  • Develop and deliver advanced financial models and scenario analyses that support informed decision-making across the organisation.
  • Design and implement performance dashboards and reporting tools to increase transparency and align financial performance with strategic goals.
  • Champion the use of predictive analytics, automation, and finance technology to drive forecasting accuracy, efficiency, and cost optimisation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and IT to deliver a digital finance roadmap, streamline systems, and embed data governance practices.
  • Lead change initiatives and cultivate a high-performing, adaptable finance team focused on continuous improvement.
About You
You are a qualified finance professional (CA/CPA) with significant experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within complex environments. You bring a commercial mindset, a strong command of financial systems, and a practical understanding of transformation programs.
You are an effective communicator and influencer, comfortable engaging at all levels of the organisation. You thrive in dynamic environments, lead by example, and have a passion for innovation, technology, and building team capability.
