Senior Claims Manager Role
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced claims professional to join our team. As a senior team member, you will set the standard in claims management while guiding and supporting others around you through mentoring and coaching colleagues and leading by example to create a culture of collaboration.
Responsibilities:- Proactively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims to achieve the optimum outcome of early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers and other stakeholders to create an effective Return to Work strategy.
- Assist the worker and employer with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery.
- Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policies while undertaking ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments.
- Respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme is mandatory.
- Currently residing in New Zealand to be eligible for relocation bonus.
- An empathetic, resilient, and motivational approach to provide customer-centric support.
- A driven professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Careful consideration to detail with a high concern for accuracy to manage stakeholder engagement.
- A team player who likes to work collaboratively and can also work independently.
