Job Title: Senior Culinary Operations Manager

Culinary Operations Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior culinary operations manager to lead our kitchen operations in a remote mine site village in regional NSW.

The Position:
  1. Lead all kitchen operations for breakfast, crib & dinner service providing a buffet style service with high standards of food quality and presentation.
  2. Manage and mentor a team of chefs, kitchen hands and dining room staff to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
  3. Oversee stock control, ordering and food safety compliance to minimize waste and ensure consistency in food preparation.
  4. Ensure that food is prepared to a consistently high standard and adheres to company health and safety protocols.
  5. Enhance workplace culture by promoting high levels of customer service, contributing ideas and being flexible to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Cert III in Commercial Cookery (minimum) or equivalent qualification.
  2. Proven experience as a head chef or sous chef in mining or remote settings with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  3. Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations including menu writing, stock control, budgets, rostering, staff mentoring and training.
  4. A proactive leader who is professional, positive, supportive and motivated with experience in training and developing a team of hospitality professionals.
