About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Transaction Advisor to join our team at Macquarie, where you will play a crucial role in supporting and advising key stakeholders on transactions within our Asset Management business.

As a member of our Financial Management Group, you will work in the financial hub of Macquarie, driving real change for our businesses. You will be part of a team that builds relationships with regulators, partners, communities, and shareholders, upholding Macquarie's brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with various stakeholders to advise on accounting implications of transactions and identify opportunities for more efficient outcomes.
  • Utilize technical accounting expertise to advise on impacts of new products, M&As, and other complex transactions, shaping the impact of forthcoming accounting and regulatory updates.
Requirements
  • CA or CPA qualified with experience in a technical accounting role, ideally focusing on asset management, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong communicator able to convey complex accounting issues to varying types of stakeholders.
  • Commercial mindset and problem-solving skills to translate technical accounting knowledge into commercially viable transaction structuring options.
