Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective safety and compliance strategies to meet legislative requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and manage the College's hazard register.
- Oversee new employee inductions and ensure mandatory training compliance for all staff and contractors.
- Manage risk assessment templates and maintain due diligence registers for activities, events, and providers.
- Ensure all permits and licenses are up to date and manage regulatory compliance with government bodies.
- Provide monthly WHS incident reports and maintain emergency management equipment.
- Conduct WHS inspections and ensure adherence to risk and safety standards.
- Coordinate key Risk and WHS committee meetings, including report preparation and minute-taking.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for safety and compliance. Ideally, you have experience in risk assessments, compliance management, or a related field, but you're also quick to learn and adapt. Your strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, make you efficient in managing complex tasks, reporting, and data.
You thrive working independently while being a reliable team player, able to build relationships with staff, providers, and contractors at all levels. Your exceptional organizational skills mean you handle competing priorities with ease, always meeting deadlines with precision. Most importantly, you hold a valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check), or you're eligible to obtain one.
