About the Role

The Safety and Compliance Coordinator will be at the heart of ensuring a safe, compliant, and thriving environment for students and staff alike. Reporting to the Director of Safety & Compliance, this role involves managing daily operations, driving risk assessments, overseeing provider compliance, and coordinating workplace health and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of policy updates and manage the College's hazard register.
  • Conduct blue card audits and ensure mandatory training compliance for all staff and contractors.
  • Manage risk assessment templates and maintain due diligence registers for activities, events, and providers.
  • Oversee new employee inductions, allocate mandatory training, and track training completion.
  • Ensure all permits and licenses are up to date while managing regulatory compliance with government bodies.
  • Provide monthly WHS incident reports and maintain emergency management equipment.
  • Conduct WHS inspections and ensure adherence to risk and safety standards.
  • Coordinate key Risk and WHS committee meetings, including report preparation and minute-taking.

About You

You're a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion to assist and learn the safety and compliance side. Ideally, you have experience in risk assessments, compliance management, or a related field, but you're also quick to learn and adapt. Your strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, make you efficient in managing complex tasks, reporting, and data.
