Wildlife Career Opportunity

Are you passionate about wildlife and conservation?

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week. The successful applicant must have or be studying Cert III Captive Animal Management, excellent customer service skills, and experience in mammal husbandry and handling.

The role involves delivering high levels of friendly customer service, providing information and educational talks, and maintaining exhibits and animal enclosures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Mammal husbandry and health
  • Exhibit maintenance
  • Keeper talks and presentations
  • Animal care and welfare
  • Providing exceptional customer service

Selection criteria include:

  • Certificate III Captive Animal Management or equivalent
  • Wildlife handling and husbandry skills
  • Previous experience as a Mammal Keeper
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Manual Driver's license and current First Aid qualifications

Requirements for the role include:

  • High standard of personal presentation
  • Flexibility and reliability with a positive attitude
  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods
  • Ability to carry or support up to 10kg for a prolonged period
