Wildlife Conservationist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wildlife Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care and management of a diverse range of wildlife species.

Duties:

• Maintain the health and well-being of all animals in our care, including providing nutrition, shelter, and veterinary care as needed
• Conduct animal husbandry tasks such as cleaning enclosures, preparing food, and monitoring animal behavior
• Develop and implement educational programs and activities to promote conservation and wildlife awareness
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments

Requirements:

• Certificate III in captive animal studies or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience working with Australian wildlife and sound knowledge of animal husbandry principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
