As a Direct Care Worker, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and collaborate with a dedicated team of health professionals to deliver exceptional care and support in a vibrant, multidisciplinary environment.
About the RoleThis is a rewarding role that requires a caring and compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to residents. You will be responsible for providing personal care and support to residents, as well as assisting with daily living activities and promoting their independence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management
- Encourage residents to participate in activities and promote their independence
- Work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager and other health professionals to deliver high-quality care
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Certificate III in Aged Care or a related field, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to provide a high level of care and support to residents.
What We OfferThe Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network offers a comprehensive range of services, including a nurse-led Emergency Department supported by telehealth consultations with emergency-trained General Practitioners. Our facilities also feature outpatient services and aged care beds. Additionally, the Country Health Connect team provides a variety of community health services right from our hospital site, ensuring seamless and holistic care for our community.
