Delivering Accommodation Solutions

The role of the Principal Leasing Officer involves ensuring the effective and efficient completion of accommodation lease management activities. This includes providing input into capital and maintenance programs of work, as well as supporting the facilities management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Project Coordination: Coordinate minor works and maintenance projects in leased premises to deliver appropriate accommodation solutions. Provide leadership and direction to the leasing team and lead client accommodation projects.
  • Supplier and Stakeholder Management: Maintain good working relationships with clients and preferred suppliers, and continually evaluate service delivery in light of current business unit drivers.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Purchase and advise on procurement processes relating to projects, goods, services, and equipment consistent with government purchasing guidelines, policies, and standards.
  • Corporate Governance, Policy, and Procedures: Document, retain, and record all business decisions from conception/allocation to delivery of all assigned projects and activities, ensuring consistency with whole-of-government and departmental frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Client Advice: Provide advice to clients on fire safety, disability access, and other building-related policies, legislation, and regulations.
  • Team Participation and Administration: Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member, provide technical and administrative support to branch management, and contribute to achievement of the branch objectives.
