About PACT Recycling

PACT Recycling is accelerating the plastics Circular Economy by investing in world-class technology and platforms that unlock the value of post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste.

In addition to building Australia's largest PET recycling facilities with our JV partners, we're also investing in near-infrared optical sorting technology, washing, extrusion, and decontamination lines in our existing facilities to provide customers access to locally recycled plastic resins.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly experienced Divisional Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives across our ~10 manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality strategies and systems to ensure product and process quality standards.
  • Lead the development of quality policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee the evaluation and laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
  • Coach and support the site Quality Managers to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize processes.
  • Implement and monitor quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Champion the fostering of a culture of quality and accountability across the Division.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage audits and inspections.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in quality assurance or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a food manufacturing or regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of FSSC 22000 certification requirements & understanding of EFSA & FDA requirements.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the organization's products or services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
