Role Overview:

As a Finance and Payroll Officer, you will play a key part in the success of our finance team. This is a multifaceted role that requires excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and exceptional customer service skills.

You will contribute to various aspects of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation of bank accounts, creditor invoicing, payments, and allocations. Additionally, you will be responsible for payroll processing, debtor management, claims, and reimbursements.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong communication skills, time management, prioritization skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment as well as autonomously. You will also be expected to have a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake finance processes in all areas of accounting
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Organise creditor invoicing, payments, and allocations
  • Set up new starters in a payroll system
  • Payroll processing for weekly and fortnightly pay cycles
  • Assist with debtor management such as debt collection, report analysis and statements
  • Assist with claims and reimbursements
Requirements:
  • Minimum completion of Year 12 (or undertaking Accounting in year 12 and completing in 2025)
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft office suite
  • Experience using Xero, MYOB or other accounting software
  • Quality customer service skills
  • Time management and prioritisation skills to work in a fast paced environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Be innovative with technology and accepting of changing work practices
  • Ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment as well as autonomously
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude
