Job Title: Health Clerk

The role of a Health Clerk is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the delivery of health care services. In this position, you will be responsible for providing clerical support and administrative services to ensure the smooth operation of our health care centre.

About the Role:

As a Health Clerk, you will be working closely with healthcare professionals and other staff members to maintain accurate records, manage databases, and provide exceptional customer service. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Manage databases and information management systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other staff members
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Minimum 1 year full-time experience as an Administrative role (or part-time equivalent) within the last 5 years
  • Evidence of completion of a medical terminology course from a RTO or other training / course as approved by the Commonwealth OR a minimum of 5 years in a primary health care or military health setting (or part-time equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a customer service focused environment (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients
