Key Responsibilities- Lead small teams to develop plans and schedules, ensuring projects deliver value aligned with our methodologies and business needs.
- Manage allocated program/project resources to execute deliverables on time, within budget, and to a high quality against scope.
- Lead agile ceremonies/team meetings, effectively identifying and resolving issues, helping to remove impediments, and mitigating and managing risk within agreed tolerances.
- Communicate effectively with peers and executives to ensure alignment, seek engagement and feedback, and highlight successes.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic professional relationships with business partners, vendors, and representatives from other government agencies.
- Contribute to portfolio/program management and governance practices, including preparing reports and documentation, assisting with recruitment and procurement activities, and coordinating business engagement activities.
- Coach and mentor AEC staff in their professional development to uplift organisational capability within the program/project context.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing ICT projects to deliver to time, cost, quality, and scope.
- Ability to foster team culture and lead small teams, providing clear direction, effectively overseeing tasks, and coaching to build high performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with influence, interpret and synthesise technical information, and interact with people with diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strategic relationships and manage expectations across varied stakeholder groups.
- Ability to conduct critical analysis and use available information and professional judgement to solve complex problems and implement pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to effectively manage high volumes of work and competing priorities, adapting and responding to change, and managing changing team and stakeholder needs.
- Tertiary qualifications or industry recognised certification in Management, Project Management, or a similar field.
- Demonstrated work experience managing/delivering large-scale ICT transformation programs/projects in an Australian Government setting.
