About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our Finance team at Freedom. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability through strategic financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement the company's medium to long-term financial plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with Business Unit heads to build and manage annual budgets and forecasts, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Design and develop financial models to project long-term growth and identify key business drivers, utilizing industry-leading tools such as IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and Power BI Analytics and Business Intelligence.
  • Deliver competitor analysis, market trends, and associated commentary to the Leadership team, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Analyze financial and operational results to gain a deep understanding of company performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance, providing regular updates and recommendations to the Leadership team.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant analytical experience, with a strong background in financial planning and analysis.
  • Previous experience in the retail sector is preferred but not essential.
  • Exposure to ERP systems, such as Dynamics 365, is ideal but not required.
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of business intelligence tools and reporting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive business outcomes and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Accounting background with CPA/CA certification is ideal but not required.
