Cycling Infrastructure Specialist

The Cycling Infrastructure Specialist plays a crucial role in designing and developing cycling infrastructure projects. This position is part of the Transport Unit and requires expertise in street design, transport planning, traffic engineering, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver projects aligned with the Yarra Transport Action Plan and Council Plan
- Assist with preparing briefings, letters, and reports with high standards of written and oral communication
- Respond to enquiries related to active transport in Yarra from the public, councillors, colleagues, State Government, and others
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage bicycle parking requests and coordinate installation
- Coordinate, attend, and support the operation of the Yarra Transport Advisory Committee
This position requires a high level of experience in street design, transport planning, traffic engineering, project management, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, and possess a strong understanding of the Yarra Transport Action Plan and Council Plan.
