Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Manager

The Senior Active Transport Project Officer is a key role in the Strategic Transport Unit, responsible for designing, developing and managing cycling and walking infrastructure projects delivered by Council.
\This position will report to the Principal Strategic Transport Planner and requires a level of experience in street design, transport planning, traffic engineering, project management and working with internal and external stakeholders.
\Key responsibilities include:
\- Delivering projects stated within the Yarra Transport Action Plan, Council Plan and Budget
- Assisting with the preparation of briefings, letters and reports as required with a high standard of written and oral communication
- Responding to enquiries relating to active transport in Yarra from the public, councillors, colleagues, State Government and others
- Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing bicycle parking requests and coordinating installation
- Coordinating, attending and supporting the operation of the Yarra Transport Advisory Committee
