Job Title: Strategic Urban Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced strategic urban planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to promote sustainable urban growth and development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of urban planning principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical, communication and project management skills. They will also have the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement urban planning strategies that align with Council's vision and objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform planning decisions and policies.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to Council and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to achieve strategic outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in urban planning or a related field.
  • Proven experience in urban planning, preferably in local government.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
