About this Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented Urban Designer who can make a lasting impact on our community through innovative strategic urban design solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing precinct structure plans, activity centre structure plans, township strategies, development plans, urban design frameworks, policies, and strategies;
- Coordinating urban design outcomes, undertaking urban design analysis, site analysis, development feasibility studies, preparation of plans, policies, strategies, frameworks, guidelines, and referrals;
- Leading and mentoring less experienced staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in urban design, architecture, or a related field;
- Substantial experience in urban design and architecture, strong track record in project management;
- A deep understanding of economic, social, and environmental issues related to development and urban design in Cardinia Shire;
- The ability to assess and critique architectural and urban design work, providing creative practical solutions;
- Strategic thinking and creativity to plan for high-quality land use development and design outcomes;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
