The Brisbane City Council is committed to creating incredible outcomes for all residents in the Pullenvale Ward.

This role plays a strong part in assisting to create opportunities and solve challenges that the ward office can assist the community with.

As a key member of the ward office, you will have the opportunity to represent Brisbane City Council at local events when needed and connect with residents who come into the ward office.

Your professional attitude and leadership experience will enable you to succeed in a busy office environment with complex customer queries, competing demands, and the need to re-prioritise when the unexpected arises.

You will have experience and success in providing a diverse range of high-quality administrative and customer service tasks, strong computer skills within a fast-paced setting, and hands-on experience with content writing for digital channels.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Customer service experience with a strong focus on resolving complex customer queries
  • Experience in leading an office-based operation providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support
  • Researching and interpreting legislation, policy, and guidelines to support the councillor
  • Organisation skills including diary management, organising documents, and preparing resources for meetings
  • Writing reports, correspondence, and information decks while handling sensitive information
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with a wide range of customers and Council officers

This role requires a Criminal History Check and a C Class Driver's License (or the ability to obtain one).
