About the Role

The Brisbane City Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ward Officer to join our team. As a Senior Ward Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Ward Office in achieving great outcomes for our community and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to residents, community groups, and stakeholders.
  • Manage the Ward Office workload, prioritizing tasks and projects to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Lead the Ward Officer in the delivery of effective administration and customer service, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Research and interpret legislation, policy, and guidelines to support the councillor in resolving community queries.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with the community and promote Council initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other Council teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong focus on resolving complex customer queries.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on high-quality administration and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to research and interpret legislation, policy, and guidelines to support the councillor in resolving community queries.
