About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned commercial leader to drive organisational wide commercial framework development and implementation.

This role will play a critical part in embedding strong commercial governance, uplifting capability, and driving profitability across our operations nationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and embed national commercial risk and governance frameworks
  • Oversee contract lifecycle management, including negotiation of major contracts, joint ventures, and complex agreements
  • Provide leadership on insurance, compliance, and financial risk management
  • Drive financial performance through standardized project controls, cost tracking, and accurate forecasting
  • Collaborate with operations, tendering, and business development teams to strengthen profitability and project outcomes
  • Champion operational excellence by embedding best practices and reporting across the organisation
  • Mentor and support regional teams to build commercial capability and confidence in decision making
Key Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or related field
  • Extensive senior commercial management experience in construction, utilities, or infrastructure services
  • Proven success managing large-scale projects (over $100M), complex contract models, and governance frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • A track record of mentoring, educating, and building capability within project and operational teams
  • Experience implementing ERP or project management systems is desirable
