Position Overview

AECOM's Water Team in Perth is on the lookout for an experienced water resources engineer who is passionate about technical excellence and eager to expand their expertise in delivering multidisciplinary projects within a global framework.

This role presents an exciting chance to significantly contribute to the strategic direction and expansion of the team, mentoring and nurturing emerging engineers to cultivate the next generation of professionals while engaging in diverse projects such as residential and commercial development planning, mining initiatives, transportation infrastructure, and water systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver hydraulic and hydrologic modeling support across various projects, maintaining a focus on technical excellence.
  • Prepare tenders and proposals.
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of professionals across multiple regions, building strong relationships with internal and external clients in various sectors to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Mentor junior professionals, promoting their growth and development within the team.

What we seek:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Familiarity with Western Australia water management planning processes (e.g., Precinct Water Management Strategy, Local Water Management Strategy) and concepts of water-sensitive urban design is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS, and 12D.
  • A strong client focus, high motivation, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Exceptional report writing and verbal communication skills.
