About the Role:
We're currently constructing some of Australia's most complex projects, including the Black Hill to Tomago M1, Gold Coast Light Rail, and Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre. Due to industry expansion, our Infrastructure division is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for an upcoming $450m Water Infrastructure project in regional NSW.
Responsibilities:
- Track, monitor, and control costs during the project life cycle.
- Interpret specifications and standards and assess their impact on project costs.
- Use a cost control model to increase profitability by identifying variances between cost elements.
- Analyze actual costs against planned costs and forecast final costs versus budget.
- Create tender event schedules for procurement programs.
- Budget/tender reconciliation, change management, and variance analysis.
- Quantify and cost construction work.
- Prepare bills of quantities.
- Prepare estimates, quantities, prices, and costing for projects.
- Interface with project managers and engineers to best manage risks and opportunities.
Requirements:
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
- Tertiary or trade qualification in quantity surveying.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience on infrastructure projects within the construction industry.
