About the Role:
We're currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure division on an upcoming $450m Water Infrastructure project in regional NSW. As a key member of the project team, you'll be responsible for tracking, monitoring, and controlling costs during the project life cycle. You'll interpret specifications and standards, assess their impact on project costs, and use a cost control model to increase profitability by identifying variances between cost elements.
Responsibilities:
- Tracking, monitoring, and controlling costs during the project life cycle
- Interpreting specifications and standards and assessing their impact on project costs
- Using a cost control model to increase profitability by identifying variances between cost elements
- Analyzing actual cost against planned cost and forecasting final cost versus budget
- Creating tender event schedules for procurement programs
- Budget/tender reconciliation, change management, and variance analysis
- Quantifying and costing construction work
- Preparing Bills of Quantities
- Preparing estimates, quantities, prices, and costing for projects
- Interfacing with project managers and engineers to best manage risks and opportunities
Requirements:
To be successful in this key role, you'll need:
- Tertiary or trade qualification in Quantity Surveying
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience on infrastructure projects within the construction industry
