Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Drill Operator is to extract resources while adhering to strict safety standards and procedures. Working on a 7/7 roster, this role involves operating drill rigs to accomplish tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate quality control of drill holes and document any ground conditions that may impact blasting operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized drill rig and report or address any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude towards achieving regular drill meters, optimal rig utilization, and efficient consumables usage.
  • Provide detailed documentation for drill reports and pre-start checks in a timely manner.
  • Regularly participate in and utilize safety assessments to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Be willing to receive training across various drill rigs in the fleet and demonstrate adaptability.
About You
  • Minimum 12 months of drilling experience in the mining industry with verified machinery skills list (Signed Training Transcripts).

  • A proactive attitude with a strong desire to work reliably as part of a team.
  • Current Standard 11 certification (or willingness to obtain) and current driver's license.
  • A commitment to a positive safety culture.

  • Previous experience with rotary or top hammer drills is advantageous.
