Job Title: Senior Industrial Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional to lead our industrial relations function. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of employee and industrial relations, including enterprise agreement negotiations, management of industrial action, and engagement with external stakeholders.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement industrial relations strategies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Manage industrial relations activities, including enterprise agreement negotiations, management of industrial action, and engagement with external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on workplace legislation and best-practice policy development.
  • Partner with operational leaders and technical specialists to provide strategic advice and support.
  • Lead the management and resolution of industrial disputes and related litigation.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • Degree or qualification in HR, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act 2009 and related employment legislation.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in complex, unionized workplaces, preferably with blue-collar workforces.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver clear, practical ER/IR advice.
  • Experience managing enterprise agreements, industrial action, and workplace change.
  • Experience representing organizations at the Fair Work Commission, including in dispute resolution, unfair dismissal defense, and general protections matters.
