We are a hospitality company that is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our guests. At Hyatt Regency Sydney, we offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Commissionaire to join our team.

The Role:

As a Commissionaire, you will be responsible for greeting and farewelling all guests in a courteous and professional manner. You will assist guests with inquiries and transportation as required, provide assistance with the loading/unloading of guest luggage, and ensure that the porte-cochère is kept clear and clean at all times.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Exceptional customer service skills to deliver a high level of service to both internal and external guests.
  • A thorough knowledge of all hotel outlets and concessions, local facilities, transportation services, and hotel functions.
  • An extensive knowledge of the hotel's services and facilities, including hours of operation, guest rooms, and suites.
  • Knowledge of city directions, major attractions, shopping and entertainment venues, sporting and recreational facilities, transportation systems, special events, banks, and consulates.
  • Coordination and awareness of general arrival and departure patterns for current day, including functions, group movements, and VIPs.
  • Maintenance of a safe and efficient environment, ensuring that the driveway is free of congestion and cars are not left parked on the driveway for longer than five minutes.
  • Arrangement of taxis/limousines for guests, ensuring drivers are aware of destination.
  • Opening hotel doors promptly for arriving and departing guests.
  • Assistance with the loading and unloading of guest luggage.
  • Maintenance and responsibility for the cleanliness of all work areas, including the lobby, public areas, driveway, and back-of-house storage areas.
  • Restriction of undesirable characters from entering the hotel and clearing them from the driveway. Any persons behaving suspiciously should alert Security/Assistant Manager immediately.
