About the Role


This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail to undertake general waiting duties including taking orders and serving guests.



Key Responsibilities



  • Undertake general waiting duties including taking orders and serving guests
  • Work cohesively as a team member
  • Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met
  • Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to
  • Serve items with flair and professionalism
  • Receipt of monies and cash up of service periods
  • Follow and implement all departmental procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists
  • Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities
  • Demonstrate the "Passion for Excellence" through serving our guests with flair and professionalism, ensuring that their requests are quickly and efficiently achieved
  • Ensure all guests are provided with personalised service and that the "Essence of Pleasure" is achieved
  • Embody the art of French hospitality through a "can do" attitude
  • Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel standard operating procedures and that correct charges are posted
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of Sofitel Brand Standards
  • Assist the Outlets Manager with the training and development of all ambassadors while also maintaining a detailed training log
  • Follow up on all guest comments, requests and complaints while informing the Supervisor and Assistant Manager of all such matters

Requirements



  • Highly motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Always display a professional appearance, representing our Sofitel brand
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends & public holidays
  • Hold a current RSA certificate


Estimated Salary Range: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
