Recovery Focused Mental Health Outreach

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic professional to deliver outreach support across the East Gippsland region. The successful candidate will work with people living with mental ill-health to achieve their recovery goals, build confidence, strengthen social connections, and live independently.

The role involves outreach support combined with administration duties that can be performed from home. A company vehicle will be provided for travel.

This opportunity is ideal for someone already based in the East Gippsland region or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality outreach services, case managed responses, and facilitate positive educational and social experiences.
  • Plan and deliver group programs that aid people to build their skills and focus on recovery.
  • Use strengths-based, recovery-oriented approaches to help people develop daily living skills, capacity, and resilience.
  • Provide information and mentoring to people to establish connections with community, families, and carers, create networks, and access relevant services.
  • Collaborate with a range of services, families, and the community to ensure a coordinated, integrated response to people's recovery goals.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field.
  • Expertise in working with people with mental health issues, complex needs, and interacting with families and carers.
  • Experience applying therapeutic approaches such as trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and family-inclusive practice.
  • Ability to co-design, co-produce, and co-facilitate groups and educational programs.
  • Willingness and ability to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses required).
