Quality Assurance Specialist

This casual role at Coles is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about maintaining the highest quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleAs a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that fresh produce and chilled deliveries from our suppliers meet the required quality standards. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct quality inspections, maintain equipment and tools, and manage the timely completion of these tasks.
You will also be responsible for recording and communicating inspection outcomes to the Coles Quality and Commercial teams, as well as ensuring that only the highest-quality products are dispatched from our Distribution Centre (DC) to our stores.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quality inspections of fresh produce and chilled deliveries from our suppliers
- Maintain equipment and tools used in the quality inspection process
- Manage the timely completion of quality inspections
- Record and communicate inspection outcomes to the Coles Quality and Commercial teams
- Ensure that only the highest-quality products are dispatched from our DC to our stores
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent priority, time management, and communication skills, as well as a proactive approach and ability to work quickly and identify challenges and risks.
You will also need to have experience working in a cold, fast-paced environment, collaborating with your team, and be able to work across 7 days, including weekends and public holidays, with flexible start times ranging between 4am and 5pm (based on business needs).
Additionally, you should be willing to learn how to use a range of tools/equipment or systems for quality testing.
