About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Supervised Family Support Worker to join our dynamic team at Challenge Community Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and meaningful family time for children and young people in the Permanency Support Program (Out of Home Care) with their families and significant others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate family time and engagement activities that promote positive relationships and outcomes for children and young people.
  • Provide written updates and reports to ensure thorough communication and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and community members.

Requirements:

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours as required.
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Full COVID vaccination status.
