About The Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our dynamic team at Challenge Community Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and meaningful family time for children and young people in the Permanency Support Program (Out of Home Care) with their families and significant others.

You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and knowledge to mentor children and young people in various settings, providing written updates and reports, and ensuring thorough communication and documentation.

This rewarding role allows you to strengthen family connections between children, young people, and their families, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

About You:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with others.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and complete formal documentation in relevant software programs.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team, thinking quickly on your feet and making informed decisions in complex situations.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours as required.
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and full COVID vaccination status.
  • Australian Driver's License.
  • Qualification in Human Services, Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services is highly desirable.
