As a talented developer, you will work with a small team of experienced professionals to design and implement gameplay features and systems. You will also collaborate with multiple departments and studios to identify areas for improvement and extend existing gameplay systems.

This is a full-time position based in a state-of-the-art game development studio in Sydney Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design engineer and implement gameplay features and systems that facilitate exciting new gameplay experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement clean APIs.
  • Work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results while adapting to changing schedules and feedback.
  • Support less experienced team members and contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.
Essential Qualifications
  • 5+ years in low-level software development including 2 years in the video games industry or a relevant related field.
  • Ability to write well-structured and highly optimised C++ code.
  • A strong understanding of top-down design object-oriented programming design patterns and game design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised with a proven ability to deliver on deadlines.
  • Strong math skills knowledge of vectors matrices and linear algebra.
