Lead Game Developer Position

As a lead game developer, you will be responsible for spearheading the development of classic game technology areas, driving innovation and collaboration across teams to deliver exceptional results.

Candidates must have extensive knowledge and experience in software development, a proven track record of delivering complex projects and a strong ability to work effectively within large codebases.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in a state-of-the-art game development studio offering opportunities for growth and professional development.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement robust gameplay features and systems, collaborating closely with design and content teams.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives, identifying and addressing potential improvements and modifying/ extending existing gameplay systems.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results, adhering to strict deadlines and scope management.
  • Provide thought-out solutions and effective planning in response to design changes and feedback.
  • Guide and support less experienced team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in low-level software development, including at least 2 years in the video games industry or a relevant related field.
  • Ability to write well-structured and highly optimized C++ code.
  • A strong understanding of top-down design, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and game design principles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to deliver on deadlines.
  • Passionate about gameplay, system design, and methodologies that support a team passionate about creating games.
