This role offers a unique opportunity to assume a leadership position within a highly performing team. As a Senior Team Leader of the Cancer Care Team, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting clinicians in delivering safe, timely, and high-quality person-centred care for patients with cancer, haematology, and other complex medical conditions.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting of services to support day-to-day department functioning. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and service delivery and contributing to positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Support Clinicians
- Ensure that clinicians are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Contribute to Departmental Planning
- Participate in planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting of services to support day-to-day department functioning.
- Identify Opportunities for Improvement
- Continuously assess clinical practice and service delivery to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Recognised Degree or Qualification
- A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy or another relevant qualification deemed suitable by the employer.
- Current Authority to Practice
- A current Authority to Practice as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
- Evidence-Based Practices
- Experience identifying evidence-based practices and developing treatment protocols.
- Clinical Supervision
- High-level organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience providing clinical supervision and mentoring of staff and/or students.
