Senior Team Leader (Occupational Therapist Level 3) – Cancer Care Team – Permanent Full-Time

Remuneration: $112,396.00 - $116,038.00 per annum

Responsibilities
  • Take the next step in your career as a Team Leader of a highly performing team within a large and dynamic and supportive Occupational Therapy department.
  • Supervise, skill-up and support Level 1 / 2 clinicians using clinical expertise in delivery of safe, timely and high-quality person-centred care for the team covering the acute haematology ward and cancer therapy outpatient services; provide services to the acute complex medical and oncology ward, palliative care ward and outpatient lymphoedema services in alignment with department expectations.
  • Participate in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting of services to support day-to-day department functioning.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and service delivery and contribute to positive patient outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead, guide and line-manage the Cancer Care Team in collaboration with the Occupational Therapy Managers.
  • Provide clinical supervision, support and expertise for safe, timely, high-quality care.
  • Support clinicians across acute and outpatient services related to cancer care, haematology, palliative care and lymphoedema as required.
  • Assist with planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of services to support department operations.
  • Apply analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvements in clinical practice and service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer and current Authority to Practice as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
  • Experience identifying evidence-based practices and developing treatment protocols.
  • Experience planning, implementing and evaluating local service delivery including quality improvement processes.
  • High-level organisational and time-management skills.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and mentoring of staff and/or students.
  • Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). If holding a NSW license from another state, obtain NSW C class within three months of appointment. Learner licenses are not permitted.
