About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Data Strategist to join our Climate Resilience Solutions team. As a key member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in researching climate change at global, regional, and local levels.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in developing models related to natural catastrophes and analysing climate-related risks. They will be proficient in data management, quality assurance, and statistical analysis, with excellent analytical skills and a track record of driving climate resilience outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Climate Change Research: Conduct research on climate change impacts and adaptation strategies, collaborating closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and interpret data from various sources.
  • Data Management: Collect, manage, and analyse geospatial data related to environmental risks and natural hazards.
  • Model Development: Develop and maintain standards, policies, and quality assurance protocols for climate data products, building and validating computer models to simulate climate change scenarios and natural hazard events.
  • Spatial Analysis: Conduct spatial analysis to identify potential impacts and hazards, providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
  • Staying Informed: Stay up-to-date with legislative and regulatory frameworks related to climate resilience and disclosures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience with Python programming or other similar programming languages, as well as experience in developing models related to natural catastrophes and analysing climate-related risks.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in environmental engineering, statistics, climate science, or related fields.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical skills, proficiency in data management, quality assurance, and statistical analysis, with a track record of driving climate resilience outcomes.

Estimated Salary Range:

$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
