Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Data Strategist to join our team at Colonial First State. As an Investment Data Strategist, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver exceptional experiences to our customers and achieve financial freedom.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, building out and maintaining the technology, systems and tools that underpin our investment data and analytics capabilities. This includes managing databases, automating processes and visualising data insights.

You will work closely with our diverse data sources, including risk, liquidity, ESG & climate, holdings, performance, economic & markets and peer data. Your task is to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data through comprehensive cleaning and validation.

To excel in this role, you should have advanced mathematical and numeracy skills, proficiency in coding languages (ideally Python) and data visualisation (e.g. Tableau). Understanding of databases (e.g. SQL) is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, build out and maintain technology, systems and tools for investment data and analytics capabilities
  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability through comprehensive cleaning and validation
  • Work with diverse data sources, including risk, liquidity, ESG & climate, holdings, performance, economic & markets and peer data
