Established as a key contributor to the success of high-profile construction projects, this Contracts Administrator will play a pivotal role in managing contract administration processes from start to finish.
This is a full-time opportunity based in Bunbury, offering the chance to work on a variety of high-quality builds within a dynamic and driven team environment.
About the RoleThe successful applicant will be responsible for establishing effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure all contractual obligations are met and project outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiating contract terms with internal and external stakeholders
- Monitoring, reviewing, and updating existing contract templates
- Ensuring that key stakeholders understand and comply with company contracts
- Analyzing potential risks involved with specific contract terms
- Providing ongoing support for the project teams on a day-to-day basis for the management of contracts and understanding of the scope of works
- Acting as the primary company contact for contractual matters on projects
- Preparing variation proposals in conjunction with Project Managers
- Preparing contractual notices in conjunction with the site team
- Overseeing work by contractors and ensuring accurate reporting on variations to work orders
- Assessing and verifying the accuracy of variation claims from subcontractors
- Responsible for preparing and managing head contract claims in accordance with the contract and relevant legislation (progress claims, variations, EOT claims, Latent Conditions claims)
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and able to stay up-to-date with legislative changes
- Preparing weekly/monthly cost reports and status reports
- Ensuring advice is provided to senior management on matters requiring attention and implementing their decisions
- Maintaining organized records
- Assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and forecasts with a strong comprehension of associated software.
- Relevant qualification in law, commerce, construction management, quantity surveying or engineering.
- 3-5 years in a Contracts Administrator or similar role in construction.
- Experience in preparing, negotiating, and managing contracts.
- Proven track record in managing progress claims and variations.
- Experience with project budgeting, forecasts, and cost reporting.
- Familiar with contract compliance and legislative requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and compliance.
- Strong contract management and negotiation skills.
