Job Description:

Six Degrees Executive is partnering with two large QLD Government agencies to fill three Senior Web/Digital Content Editor positions. The successful candidates will work on a contract basis and be responsible for editing existing web content, creating new content for multiple websites, and ensuring it adheres to best practice standards for web content.

The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing and consolidating existing web and PDF content, developing customer-focused web content, and providing advice and support for delivering high-quality digital services.

We are looking for individuals who can design and develop customer-centric content of a complex and substantial nature for various digital platforms, apply human-centred design methodology, and contribute to research and engagement activities such as surveys, customer interviews, tree testing, usability testing, and workshops.

The successful candidates will also be expected to advise clients on best practice, mandatory standards, and policy for web, including accessibility requirements and information architecture. Additionally, they will develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure communication and engagement services are strategic, customer-focused, and highly effective.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $63-$77 plus Super, paid on a PAYG basis for full-time hours. The position is based in the Brisbane CBD with hybrid work options available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and consolidate existing web and PDF content on Departmental websites.
  • Develop customer-focused web content in consultation with subject matter experts.
  • Provide advice and support to deliver high-quality informational and transactional digital services using content management systems (CMS).
  • Design and develop customer-centric content of a complex and substantial nature for various digital platforms.
  • Apply human-centred design methodology in content design and project delivery.
  • Contribute to developing and conducting research and engagement activities.
  • Advise clients on best practice, mandatory standards, and policy for web.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
